Junior Achievement Teen Teacher Contract
- Contact
assigned teacher. Agree on day/time of class. Inform both
elementary and high school teacher at least one day in advance if
your team have to reschedule your designated time.
- Become
familiar with school procedures. Know classroom location prior to
first day. Enter through main office and sign the appropriate
volunteer binder. Arrive ~15-30 minutes early for class session.
- Become
familiar with Junior Achievement materials. Please Dress For
Success! No mini-skirts or jeans. Guys wear slacks or khaki pants
with a collared shirt. Girls wear a long dress or a nice blouse and
slacks. Suits are not required.
- Prepare and
deliver all 5 activities.
- Agree not to
have any inappropriate contact inside or outside the classroom with
any students met through the Junior Achievement class including
those students 18 years of age or older.
- If you become
ill, or unable to present the JA program, you must notify your
partner and make arrangements for them to present the entire JA
program.
Some examples
of inappropriate conduct include:

Violations of state
laws regarding child abuse, providing alcohol on a school campus, etc.
¨
Dress that violates the
school’s faculty dress code or is inconsistent with normal business
attire.
¨
Use of profanity and
inappropriate language/slang within an educational setting.
¨
Physical contact that
is inappropriate to a teacher-pupil professional relationship
considering the age and gender of the student.
These are examples only and not intended
to be a comprehensive list. There could be other action not listed
herein which could result in suspension as a Junior Achievement
volunteer.
